Terrace Clay Artists Public Art Installation
Created:
Location:
This public installation is a specially commissioned artwork made by the Clay Artists of Terrace Society members. The piece features a central image designed and created by local clay artists Marie-Eve Langevin and Auriane Duggleby. In addition to their design, the Clay Artists of Terrace Society members were invited to create their own tiles to frame the finished artwork. These tiles depict an organic motif celebrating our Northern landscape and the salmon.
The Clay Artists of Terrace is an active group working from their studio space on Greig Avenue. The group actively mandates teaching and supporting individuals new to clay, where its more experienced members are eager to share their knowledge and lend a hand to those less familiar with the medium and methods of clay work. Outside of what you see here, Individual member work can be seen in many venues within the Northern art community, as well as the annual Skeena Salmon Art Show.
