This colourful mural stretches around three walls of the building located on the corner of Emerson St. and Greig Ave. Designed by Hazelton-based Gitxsan artist Michelle Stoney, this mural depicts mountains and wildlife in Michelle's trademark style. With an eagle, salmon, bear and trees, the piece is reflective of the land in the northwest, but also the clans of the Gitxsan people.

Michelle Stoney was raised in the Gitxsan territory, in the house of Delgamuukw. Michelle is an acrylic painter, jeweller, sculpture and mural artist. Michelle completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Emily Carr University of Art and Design in 2012 and graduated from the Northwest Coast Jewellery Arts program At NEX in 2018. In 2019 Michelle received a BC Achievement Award – the Fulmer Award, known as the Crabtree McLennan Emerging Artist Award. Michelle is currently living in her home community of Gitanmaax, following in her late grandfather’s (Victor Mowatt) footsteps teach art to local communities.
